Paradise ReefCozumel Paradise

Cozumel ParadiseParadise Reef is actually two reefs, north and south. Paraiso North is near the shore and because of its shallow depth (30’) and slow currents, it is a great place for the beginners.  Paradise South is just south of the International Pier and is just a bit deeper.  Both sides have excellent visibility and are abundant with marine life!

The reef is loaded with brain corals, seafans, sponges, gorgonians and star corals.  Life is abundant here and for the macro-photographer you will have plenty to shoot.

This is one place where you are very likely to see the Cozumel Splendid Toadfish. Night dives are very popular on this reef. Everything comes alive after the sun sets. It is not uncommon to see large clinging crabs, octopus and spotted moray eels swimming along the reef.
