DISCOVER SCUBA
The Discover Scuba course is commonly known as the resort course. This is a 4 hour course that allows the student to experience diving in a controlled environment. The course starts at 12:30 PM. We explain the do's and don'ts from our classroom, followed by shallow water work from the beach to learn the very basic water skills. If the student is comfortable, they join a boat trip to Paradise reef, maximum 40 ft. deep, to finish the tank with the instructor. It is a very good value with the boat dive.
PLEASE NOTE: The resort (introduction) course does not enable the diver to join the normal boat trips offered at Aqua Safari. Until certified you are limited to diving to 40 feet under the supervision of a certified scuba instructor.
Classes are limited to 4 students per instructor.
The $70.00 US includes all scuba equipment,
the boat trip, and materials.
***This course is ideal for those individuals who are not sure they want to take the complete certification course. If after taking this course they decide to continue with a full certification, we will apply the cost of the introductory course toward the full certification. Minimum age is 12 years.
PADI OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION
The PADI certification course takes a minimum of 4 days and costs $350.00 US, including all scuba equipment, textbook and tables, logbook and certification fees. We DO NOT nickel and dime you with separate / additional charges, and the materials are yours to keep.
Each day consists of both theory and two beach dives. There will be quizzes, and of course, the final written exam. Plan to spend about 4 hours with the instructor daily, and you will need to read the manual on your own time. Though we cannot guarantee certification, the instructors will work with students needing extra attention for a reasonable extended period after the 4 days to successfully complete certification. If for some reason (ear problems, illness etc.) a student is unable to complete the course, we will reimburse a portion of the course according to the amount of time student and instructor have been working.
Classes start at 8:30 am and also at 12:30 pm.
***Classes are limited to 4 students per instructor**
Note: Following your certification course, you can use your scuba gear for 2 days on a boat trip with Aqua Safari. You pay only for the boat trip.
ADVANCED SCUBA CERTIFICATION
The
Advanced course takes 2 days and costs $250.00
US. The course includes one day of beach diving
and one day of boat diving. (If
you prefer to do both days of your advanced course
from the boat, add another $60.00 US to the cost
of the course). The core dives
included in the advanced course are navigation
and deep dives.
The 3 elective dives available are peak performance buoyancy, night, search and recovery, drift, photography, underwater naturalist or boat diver. Together with your instructor you decide which electives you would like to take.
NOTE: The advanced course does not include equipment.
Classes start at 8:30 am and also at 12:30 pm.
***Classes are limited to 4 students per instructor***
