Aqua Safari Dive Shops

Aqua Safari operates 2 full service dive shops for maximum convenience. Both locations offer dive trip signup, scuba instruction, dive gear rental, equipment storage, rinse tanks and retail dive shops. Each shop has a dive dock close by for boat boarding just steps away, as well as beach diving.

The downtown Aqua Safari shop is located on Rafael Melgar Avenue (the waterfront) between 5th & 7th streets south, 3 blocks south of the ferry dock and 1 block north of Punta Langosta cruise ship pier. This location is very convenient for our divers arriving on the ferry from Playa del Carmen or by cruise ship. Located immediately above the shop is the Safari Inn – a great setup for those who want to want to wake up and dive!

The Aqua Safari shop at Cozumel Palace is located on Rafael Melgar Avenue just south of the downtown area, and is the only on-site dive shop servicing the Cozumel Palace Resort. Located at the north end of the hotel (toward downtown) on the ground floor.

WHERE WE PICK UP

Our dive boats depart from the private Aqua Safari dock at the downtown shop and can pick up divers at Cozumel Palace, Barracuda, El Cantil Condos, Hotel Cozumel & Resort, Caribe Blu, Villablanca, Casa del Mar, El Cid / La Ceiba, Park Royal, Presidente Intercontinental & Fiesta Americana Reef, Reef Club, Occidental Allegro & Occidental Grand.

CRUISE SHIP DIVERS

Aqua Safari is not more than a 5 minute walk or 5-10 minute taxi ride from the 3 cruise ship terminals on Cozumel, making it a convenient way to avoid the crowds on the dive trips arranged by the cruise ships. However, you must leave enough time to allow for disembarking the ship and getting to the dive shop. We recommend at least 1.5 hours between your ship’s scheduled time of arrival and the departure time of the dive trip you have reserved.
